a month agoWe took our teen year old daughter. Fantastic way to beat the heat! Beautiful exhibits and grounds. We loved it! The cable car ride (extra) was a fun addition, albeit a little "thrilling." Too thrilling for my husband, in fact. He stayed back and enjoyed an espresso on the patio while we took the 15 min ride. All around, an afternoon well spent!

in the last weekOne of the best aquariums in the world. Unfortunately when we visited the penguin exhibit was being changed out. However the experience was still top notch. This is definitely worth a visit especially if you are traveling with children.

a week agoIt's a little far from the city centre, but well worth a visit. The exhibition itself is well laid out and takes about 1.5-2 hours to see everything, although it may take a little longer with children. A photo is taken at the beginning of the exhibition and can be purchased at the end for €15 when you leave the shop. We combined the experience with a cable car tour, it's worth buying a combo ticket.

3 months agoThe visit to Oceanário de Lisboa was the highlight of our trip to Lisbon, and to us, it was the No. 1 attraction in Lisbon. We bought the aquarium & cable car combo ticket for approx. €29/ person, which, in my opinion, was totally value for money! First of all, I loved the atmosphere surrounding the aquarium as it gave us a happy holiday vibe before we even got in. The aquarium itself was huge & the main entrance was on the 1st floor across a bridge. The layout, the passage & the design of the aquarium were truly amazing. Inside, there were so many creatures... such as the 10 different types of sharks, various types of rays, many different aquarium fishes (such as clown fish & surgeonfish), jellyfish...etc. and they also have the safe heavens for sea otters & penguins too! What I also loved about this aquarium was the enormous size of its sealife tank! It has many different viewing points around the tank that split on different floors to enable everyone to enjoy the view of the tank at different angles! In my opinion, the only rooms for improvement would be the turtles as we couldn't find them anywhere, plus some spots inside the aquarium were a bit overcrowded. This is the aquarium not just designed for kids but also for adults like us too. 100% highly recommended when you are in Lisbon! We got there by Uber, but you can also get there easily by buses & metro too (getting off at the Oriente station)

in the last weekA great family outing. Takes about 2 hours at most. It was very crowded when we went (July). The forest of the sea exhibit is quite unusual. Book online. My tickets didn’t email but we went to information with the confirmation number I screen shot and it was no problem.
